Get ready for spring using Farmer Ken's composted chicken manure or my unworked chicken coop mix ( compost and mulch combined product) .( please note that we don't weigh the bags and the bags will not be entirely full. every bag will be different in compasity as it comes down to what we have on hand when I bag it and we also want to make sure that you can manage carrying it yourself at your destination ( happy to load it for you on pick up.) thanks for your understanding. ) what is Farmer Ken's? Farmer Ken's is a hobby farm keeping chickens. I make products for the backyard farmer or gardener that are suitable for gardens and your pot plants . I am not wholesale. what's for sale? Chicken manure compost made from screened and dust extracted pine wood shavings used as Chickens bedding and chicken manure. it's collected daily from our coop and mulched into smaller grains . it is then sifted, and last of all, it is composted in a compost tumbler and baged into old chicken food bags. as this is a live product, it is ageing all this time. More about our chickens and the compost product The product comes from chickens that are raised on a dirt free floor which is made of plastic, and it's great for the garden . No chemicals are used. it is sifted and aged in a 60 litre willow starter compost bin before getting composed in our main compost tumbler and baged. It takes up to 5 weeks to get it ready before it gets baged in old chicken food bags, and it sits in storage ageing until you ask me to get it for you . our storage compasity is about 10 bags at a time. the pH and nitrogen are balanced. we also sell unworked coop mix . this is everything that's collected from the coop off its plastic flooring this includes feathers from the chickens and the product is not mulched and sifted. unworked chicken coop mix is a product that is unsafe for the garden as it will burn your plants so you will have to work it yourself to make compost then it will be safe for your plants. I can sell this to you for $2.00 if you buy this you get a bonus product as well $1 mulch as it's combined with the unworked chicken coop mix and once you work it and sift it you get the mulch wood screened and dust extracted pine wood shavings that are great for the garden. but if i work the product for you so you only have to put the compost on you garden or pot plants it's $4.00 what can the $1 mulch product ( combined in the $2 unworked chicken coop mix) be used for ? the $1 mulch can be used for pet bedding , gardens , and plant pots and lots of other uses . screened and dust extracted pine wood shavings is actually a very handy product that has multiple uses. please message me today to let me know how many bags you need and if you want them worked or as unworked chicken coop mix. disclaimer screened and dust extracted pine wood shavings may be present in the composted chicken manure as this is covering the chickens flooring but you are not to worry as it is great for the garden as well and will help the manure make your garden grow better as pure chicken is bad for your plants we ask that for this reason you realise that it's your responsibility of what the product looks like when you ask for the bags as we don't open them to check how much aged they are for you.
