1978 XC Wagon

The body is standard, with lambs wool seat covers front and rear. With its current mechanicals it will make a great project vehicle.The engine is a mildly modified ford fuel injected 6 cylinder with around 120,000 easy kilometers on it. The gearbox is a manual 4 speed BorgWarner. The first owner, the Riverina CSIRO, fitted the suspension with a strong RURAL package. I fitted the front end with a 24mm stabiliser bar (18" was standard) and lowered 1.5" King Coil springs. The rear suspension is standard leaf with a heavy duty tow bar. I fitted heavy duty helper springs and the "hard to get" 15" ROH magnesium wheels (not 14" steel as original). The tyres are almost new Mastercraft Avenger 215/65R15 with barely 100k's on them. The first owner was the CSIRO Riverina, the second owner was an elderly retired gentleman. I am the third owner, buying the car in 2002 and have looked after it since then. I will be sorry to see it go.
